Coordinating a Dynamic Postsecondary School Counseling Program - Fall II 2024

Through this professional certificate program, participants will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to build impactful postsecondary school counseling programs, including support for students in the college search and application processes.

 

The basics

  • Intended audience: New and prospective college counselors.
  • Cost: $125-$300 for the on-demand version, $175-$350 for the hybrid version.
    • Cost is dependent on NACAC membership status and course version.
  • Estimated completion time: 12 weeks.
    • Participants have six months to access and complete the course.
  • Upon completion: Nine continuing education credit hours, a completion certificate, and a digital badge.

 

Course description

Featuring outstanding faculty from a wide variety of public and private institutions, this 12-week, online course provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of the college search and application processes, as well as resources that will set them up for success. Participants will gain a national, regional, and international perspective while learning about best college counseling practices across multiple dimensions.

Registration options

In 2024, you will have the option to choose between two versions of this course:

  • Hybrid: On-demand course content plus three live sessions
  • On-demand: On-demand course content

Hybrid

This option includes on-demand content that participants will complete in their own time, as well as three live sessions that will take place via Zoom. In the live sessions, participants will discuss key issues and topics, review assignments, and learn within smaller breakout groups.

A bonus of the hybrid option is the opportunity to build your professional network. Each cohort is open to approximately 200 participants worldwide. Participants will get to know the faculty members, fellow participants, and be able to build these connections through strong online community presence.

PLEASE NOTE: All requests to switch cohorts, extend course access (by one month) or changes to course registrations will be subject to a $50 processing fee per person/per course. No refunds will be processed.
